Promotions are a great way to attract customers and encourage them to order from your store. By offering enticing deals, you can turn views into orders and grow your sales. You can choose from different types of promotions to suit your business goals and target audience.

Here’s how you can create a promotion:

  1. Open your GrabMerchant app and tap the Marketing tile on the home screen.
  2. Under the Create tab, select your objective.
  3. Choose the type of promotion you want to run.

When you run a promotion, your store will automatically receive a promo tag and be featured in the Deals Around You section on GrabFood, one of the most popular carousels on the homepage.

Types of promotions

Below are the available promotion types and steps to create them:

Whole Order Discount\n

Offer discounts when a customer’s order reaches a minimum value.

Example: “Get 10% off on orders above RM20!”

  1. Tap Whole Order Discount.
  2. Select Percentage or Fixed Amount Discount.
  3. Enter the discount value, maximum discount amount, and minimum order value, then tap Next.
  4. Set the promotion duration and customer criteria, then tap Review promotion.
  5. Tap Create Promotion to finalise.

Delivery Fee Discount\n

Reduce delivery fees for orders that meet a minimum value.

Example: “Get RM5 off for a minimum order of RM15!”

Promotions created in the GrabMerchant app will only apply to the specific outlet where they were set up. You’ll need to create promotions separately for each outlet.

How long can a promotion last?\n

Promotions can run for up to 180 days.

How am I charged for running a promotion?\n

You’ll be responsible for the discount value and a marketing fee that ensures your promotion is visible to customers.

Why do I have to pay a marketing fee and what does it cover?\n

The marketing fee covers the cost of making your promotions more visible to customers on Grab.
