You can easily create and manage your GrabFood menu using the GrabMerchant app or GrabMerchant portal. You can create, edit, delete, and rearrange items and categories on both platforms.

Scan a printed menu \n

  4. Take a photo of your printer menu by clicking the camera icon. Once the scanning is complete, the items will be listed. If the details are incorrect, click on the item and make the necessary updates.

  3. Tap Add a New Item.

  4. Fill in the details of your item.

    • Photos: Add photos to your menu item to improve sales conversion. Customers are more likely to choose dishes that are visually appealing. You can upload up to 4 images for each menu item.
    • Item name: The name of the dish or specific food item (e.g. Chicken Rice). Input the item name in the title case (e.g. ‘Chicken Burger’, not ‘chicken burger’) and go for a name that is easy to understand.
    • Description (optional): Include a brief description of the item in sentence case (e.g. ‘Served with fries’, not ‘Served With Fries’). Items with descriptions are more likely to be popular with customers.
    • Translation: To bring more customers to your store, we’ve enabled auto-translation of your items’ names and descriptions to tourist-friendly languages. You can edit or remove this feature on the GrabMerchant app.
    • Available for: Set the order type your item is applicable for (e.g. if alcoholic beverages are only available for Pickup orders, only select Pickup).
    • Price: Set the price of your item. You can set custom prices for different order types. We strongly recommend that menu prices be the same as those in-store to provide optimal customer experience. Markup prices must not be more than 50% of in-store prices.
    • Category: A group of items (e.g. main dish, side dish, dessert or beverages) useful for organising your menu items so customers can easily find what they want. You can select from existing categories or create new ones.
       
  5. Click Continue.

    • Price: Set the price of your item. You can set custom prices for different order types. We strongly recommend menu prices be the same as in-store prices for optimal customer experience. Markup prices must not be more than 50% of in-store prices.
    • Option groups (optional): Offer different options or add-ons (e.g. sugar level, size of drink) for your menu items. Customers can customise their orders based on the options provided. You can select from existing option groups or create new ones.

  3. Click on Save and add category info.

  4. (Optional) If applicable, select the item's brand and tag your items with the relevant dietary information. Find out more from this list of popular dietary tags you can use.
     
  5. Click Review Item once you’ve finished entering your item details.
     
  6. Confirm the details, then click Save Changes. If you need to make any edits, click on the back button.

  4. Click on the dropdown to release the items in the category. Then tap and hold the three lines icon beside the item you want to rearrange and shift accordingly. Click on Save Changes to complete the action.

  1. On the GrabMerchant portal homepage, go to Menu > Menu Overview. Under the category with the item you want to rearrange, click on the three dots > Rearrange items.
