Option groups let your customers customise their orders, like choosing ice levels, sugar levels, or drink sizes.

You can create and manage these groups easily using the GrabMerchant app or portal.

Here’s how you can get started:

Create option groups

I prefer using the GrabMerchant app\n
  1. On the GrabMerchant app homepage, go to Menu > Option Groups > Add option group.
  2. Select a template (e.g., size, spiciness level, toppings) or create manually.
  3. Fill in the details, like the name, pricing, and customer selection criteria, then tap Create Option Group.
  4. Link the option group to menu items and tap Done.

  1. On the GrabMerchant Portal homepage, go to Menu > Option Groups > Create New Option Group.
  2. Add options, set pricing, and define selection rules.
  3. Link the option group to menu items and click Create Option Group.

Edit option groups

  1. Go to Menu > Option Groups > tap Edit for the group you want to update.
  2. Make changes and tap Review Option Group.
  3. Tap Create Option Group to save your edits.

  2. Edit the details and click Save Changes.

Manage modifier groups

  2. Tap Edit next to the option group you want to update.
    Configure the modifier settings, if applicable:
    • Make mandatory: Customers must select at least one option.
    • Allow multiple selections: Customers can select more than one option, based on your setup.
    • Enable option quantity: Customers can select the quantity for each option.

Delete option groups

  1. Go to Menu > Option Groups > tap Edit for the group you want to delete.
  2. Scroll down and tap Delete Option Group, then confirm by tapping Yes, Delete.

  2. Scroll down and click Delete Option Group, then confirm by clicking Delete.

Rearrange options within a group

  1. Go to Menu > Option Groups > tap Edit for the group you want to rearrange.
  2. Drag options using the three lines icon and tap Review Option Group.
  3. Tap Create Option Group to save the new order.

  1. Go to Menu > Option Groups > click on the group you want to rearrange.
  2. Drag options using the four lines icon and click Save Changes.

Link/unlink option groups to/from menu items

  2. Tap x Items linked, then link or unlink items as needed.
