Here’s how to get started as a new GrabFood merchant with one outlet:

How to register

\n

If you wish to sign up on Grabfood, head over to the Apple App Store or Google Play Store to download the GrabMerchant App to register.

\n

Once you have downloaded the app, select Sign Up for a new account to get started. The whole application process should take a couple of minutes and we’ll get back to you in 3 business days upon submission.

\n

Note: you may only register one store outlet during your initial sign up. If you have multiple stores and wish to register them on GrabFood, please see the next section of this article ‘Register more outlets via Grab Merchant Application’.

Who is eligible to sign up via the Grab Merchant App? \n

If you are a GrabFood merchant, you are eligible to sign up via the GrabMerchant App.

For all other merchants, please sign up here.

What are the documents required to sign up via the Grab Merchant App?

  1. ACRA Business Profile for registered business, NRIC & SFA license for non-registered business

  2. If the contract signee is not a director or a shareholder listed on the ACRA Business Profile, please also provide a copy of the contract signee's NRIC or identification document 

  3. If the bank account does not belong to the company (for ACRA registered businesses) or the owner (for non-registered businesses), please provide:

  1. Letter of Authorization (LOA): LOA must 

    \n

    1. Please include justification for using a third-party bank account 

    2. Include a clear indication of the relationship between the business/individual and the receiving bank account entity/individual

    3. Signed by a director or a shareholder listed on the ACRA Business Profile and 

  2. A copy of third-party bank account holder’s NRIC or identification document

How long will the sign-up process take?

If you have the relevant documents, the whole application process should take a couple of minutes and we’ll get back to you in 3 business days upon submission.

How do I know my Grab Merchant application status?

You can check your application status in the GrabMerchant App or write to us here.

I have submitted my registration details, but I have yet to receive any update.

After completing the registration steps via the app, please be reminded that you need to sign the electronic agreement in order for us to review your submission. To view the agreement, go to your GrabMerchant App home page and click on “Sign the Contract\".

After signing the agreement, please allow us 1 business day to get back to you. Do keep a look out for your GrabMerchant App notifications on the results of your submission. 

I received a notification to update my information, what should I do next?

Here are some tips to ensure a smooth application process:

\n
  • Ensure that uploaded documents such as Photo ID and Licenses are not blurry 
  • Ensure that business registration details submitted match ACRA records 
  • If you’re signing up as a non- registered business, please upload a valid SFA license
  • If the submitted bank account belongs to a third party, please upload a valid Letter of Authorisation.

If you are already a GrabFood merchant and wish to register more outlets, you may now do so via the GrabMerchant App.

How many stores can I add in one application?\n

You may only apply for up to 5 outlets in one application. Please note that your first application must be approved and completed before you can add more outlets.

How do I know my application status?\n

You can review your application status by going to “Pending Stores” in the store list page in the GrabMerchant App. Alternatively, you may write to us here.

Getting started with your store setup

How should I select my primary cuisine categories? \n

You should select the categories based on what is most relevant to your store. 

\n

If you think that your store offers more than three categories, please select the categories based on your most popular items. This allows users to find your store when they search for those categories. 

Can I change my operational hours in the future? 

Create, edit, delete, and rearrange items and categories at one go using the Bulk Update feature exclusively available on the GrabMerchant portal. The Bulk Update feature applies at individual outlet level only.

Is there a limit to the number of items I can add?

There is no limit to the number of items you can add to your menu. However, we strongly recommend listing all the items that your store currently offers, along with images and descriptions.

We also recommend setting up bundle deals as it has been shown to increase your revenue. For example - Offering two items together at a small discount to encourage the user to increase their spend at your store.

Can I bulk-upload my item names and images?

Create, edit, delete, and rearrange items and categories at one go using the Bulk Update feature exclusively available on the GrabMerchant portal. The Bulk Update feature applies at individual outlet level only.

What are the things I need to take note of before receiving orders?

We strongly recommend you to follow our best practices as this would ensure your success on the Grab platform.

How do I start receiving orders?

If you’ve received this notification, this means that we require you to update a few details in your application or submit additional documents. To follow up on the next steps, go to your GrabMerchant App home page and click on ‘Update your Information’.
