Spotlight Campaigns are Grab-hosted campaigns designed to boost sales for selected merchants. These campaigns may vary over time and combine ads and/or promotions to enhance visibility and streamline efficiency.

How to join a Spotlight Campaign?\n

On GrabMerchant App:

\n
  1. On the GrabMerchant app, go to the \"Marketing\" tile > \"Create\" tab > Under \"Join a Spotlight Campaign\", select a Spotlight Campaign you want to join.
  2. Review the details of the Spotlight Campaign, including information about payment, duration, target audience and keywords. 
  3. Once you have reviewed the details, confirm that you have read and agreed to Grab’s Terms of Service for Merchants. You are required to confirm this before joining the Spotlight Campaign. 
  4. Once the Spotlight Campaign is live, you are able to track its performance under the \"Manage\" tab in the \"Marketing\" tile (only some campaigns will have reporting).

GrabMerchant Portal:

  1. Open the GrabMerchant portal.
  2. Navigate to Marketing tab > Create a campaign section.
  3. Under Join a Spotlight Campaign, select a campaign.
  4. Review the campaign details, including promotion info, marketing entitlements, charging model, stores, and terms.
  5. Confirm that you’ve read and agreed to Grab’s Terms of Service for Merchants. Click on Join campaign to confirm participation.
  6. Once the campaign is live, track its performance under Marketing tile > Manage tab.

How to opt out of a Spotlight Campaign?\n

On the GrabMerchant App, go to the \"Marketing\" tile > \"Manage\" tab > Select the Spotlight Campaign you want to leave > Tap \"Leave Campaign\".

You’ll see a confirmation screen to review your action. Tap on “Yes, Leave” to leave the campaign.

\n

Please note that some campaigns have a minimum participation period that you’ll have to meet before you can leave the campaign. Also, it may take up to 12 hours for your campaign activities to stop after leaving the campaign.

1. What does the “co-fund” tag in my campaign details mean? \n

Occasionally, Grab plans exclusive campaigns and partially funds the discount value, so our merchants enjoy the maximum benefit. With a co-funded promo, when you run a discount on the total order amount, Grab helps you out by covering a portion of that discount for each order you get. 

\n

For example, if the campaign runs a 10% discount on the order value, the value of the discount will be shared between you and Grab. The specific breakdown will be unique to each campaign, and information can be found when you click on a specific campaign to view its details.

If a Spotlight Campaign includes co-funding, a “co-fund” tag will appear in the details of the campaign.

2. How am I charged when I join a Spotlight Campaign? \n

When you join a Spotlight Campaign, you could be charged either a marketing fee or a campaign fee which might differ for each campaign.

\n

For Sales Boosting campaigns, you will be paying a campaign fee based on the campaign selected and this is charged for all orders that are generated during the campaign period.

For other spotlight campaigns, the marketing fee includes the cost of making your promotions visible, as well as the value of the discount. This is only charged for all successful orders generated by the spotlight campaign.
